As a parent and committed community member, it has broken my heart to watch academics slide and families leave the district in search of better options. The pandemic changed the world, and we were not immune to the impact. Moving forward, I desire to represent the interests of the community as a whole, creating a district where all feel that our schools are welcome and safe through a renewed focus on the fundamentals of education: 

• Academic excellence
• Fiscal responsibility
• Staff support
• School safety

For years I have invested in the Olympia School District. I believe we should partner with the educators, listening to their needs and experience to support the front line of education. I have been willing to stand up at Board meetings and speak on issues publicly, and now I am asking for your vote to represent our students and our community as your next Board Director.

Before advocating for our community and teachers at the Board meetings, I have served as president of my PTO as well as on the advisory committee to navigate out of the pandemic with different learning models. I've been a licensed foster parent, soccer coach, team manager, and Young Life youth mentor.
